"Our packaging
has changed over the last few years. We started out putting our
models individually in blister packs and tissue paper inside tin
cans that we thought were attractive and were certainly strong but
the model shops hated them because they were difficult to display.
Then we introduced the
acrylic display cases with wooden MDF bases that display the
individual models well enough that we regularly receive orders for
empty cases. We started out packing them individually in bubble
pack and cardboard boxes. But again we received feedback from
shops complaining about the problem of displaying them
effectively.
Our latest effort
keeps the acrylic box and MDF base, which every one seems to like,
but we now wrap it in the familiar Cutout Card style used by most
other model manufacturers. We have simply tried adding a thin
layer of foam to the inside of the card to provide an element of
shock and vibration proofing for shipping protection.
From time to time we
are asked to produce customized packaging for promotional purposes
and we are, of course, always happy to discuss individual
needs with our clients"
